Worried about your memory? At the North Shore Memory Clinic, you’ll find the answers you need to move forward with confidence…
The North Shore Memory Clinic offers three levels of evaluation and the Memory and Aging group program for older adults with concerns about memory:
I) Brief evaluation ($895)
2 to 2.5 hours face-to-face evaluation time
This brief assessment can help older clients with concerns about their memory to take control, plan for their future, and learn about things they can do to help prevent or slow any impending decline. The focus of testing is on memory and those abilities that are most likely to be affected by aging and by early dementia.
Best for:
- Age 65+
- Retired or not working
- Memory problems have already been identified and followup testing is desired to clarify any changes over time
- No major medical or mental health issues
- A brief screen is desired to determine whether further testing is indicated
II) Standard evaluation ($1895)
4 hours face-to-face evaluation time
This half-day assessment offers a more in-depth examination of memory and other thinking skills, as well as assessment of emotional issues (where relevant). This is the recommended level of service for most individuals wishing to obtain a good baseline evaluation.
Best for:
- Age 55-65
- Working outside the home
- Baseline testing (i.e. to serve as a comparison in the event of a decline in the future)
- Some relevant medical or mental health issues may be present
III) Comprehensive evaluation ($3495)
6-7 hours face-to-face evaluation time
This full-day neuropsychological evaluation provides detailed information in all areas of cognitive and emotional functioning, allowing for a more complete understanding of strengths and weaknesses; a more representative baseline performance level (especially for higher-functioning individuals); better diagnostic accuracy; and detailed strategies and recommendations that are tailored to each client’s specific circumstances.
Best for:
- Age 45-65
- Working outside the home in a professional or otherwise cognitively-demanding capacity
- Baseline testing for individuals with high levels of academic and/or vocational achievement
- Significant medical or mental health issues are present
All North Shore Memory Clinic evaluations include:
